Meet Dr. Areba

Dr. Esther Areba has a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and practices as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2016. She specializes in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. She has experience in treating various conditions ranging from depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar,
schizophrenia, insomnia, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, among others. I provide evidence-based psychiatric care that recognizes the profound impact of spiritual well-being on mental health.  Our practice is dedicated to treating the mind, body, and spirit.

Education & Training:

 She received her Associate Degree in Nursing in
2005 from El Centro College in Dallas and received her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from The
University of Texas at Arlington. She then obtained her Doctor of
Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University in 2024. She has been
a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2016
and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Delta Chapter. 

Background and Experience: 

Dr. Areba has experience in community outpatient mental health care, in the Dallas area, Corpus Christi and the Gulf Coast. She has experience in seeing patients in the crisis center at the community mental health clinic and working in private practice.  She also has expertise in managing patients in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for both adults and children. She has past experience in medication management for patients in a psychiatric hospital and nursing home settings. Prior to working in psychiatry, she worked as an assistant nurse manager of an orthopedic trauma floor at a major hospital. She has spent all her adult life working in the medical field and enjoys helping other people get better.

Has past experience working for Dallas County Mental Clinic- Metrocare and Meier Clinics - a faith based psychiatric clinic.

Additional Info:

 She was born and raised in a Christian family and still
practices her Christian beliefs. She is married and has two children.

We offer a range of services, including medication management and individual therapy. We also offer specialized services for men,  women's mental health, children and adolescents.

We provide a variety of resources to support our patients in their mental health journey, including self-help materials, educational resources, and community referrals. We believe that knowledge is power, and we are committed to empowering our patients to take charge of their mental health.
